French President Francois Hollande‘s visit to the White House this week, complete with formal state dinner, carried with it a myriad of newsworthy angles, from the joint op-ed by Hollande and US President Barack Obama that dealt with momentous foreign policy issues involving Syria and Iran, to a joint press conference at which President Obama answered questions about key domestic issues. On Tuesday night’s The Daily Show, host Jon Stewart took the media to task for focusing on a somewhat less weighty issue.

What a difference between Al Jazeera news reporting & the useless, inconsequential information given to us in-sync by corporate-owned tv news -- how sad is that? Why are they in-sync? And who is directing the content across the board?
