It's definitely worth reminding people that, shortly after 9/11, the Taliban did offer to turn Osama bin Laden over to a third country for prosecution.

The US rebuffed that offer, and launched 2 wars instead -- killing many thousands of people (far, far beyond the body count of 9/11) but filling the coffers of Halliburton, oil companies, and other corporations, while converting the "West" into a police state.

The question is: should we believe that this is simply monstrous incompetence on the part of the US, or something more sinister?
