I thought Kansas was bad...yikes!

I loathe the kind of people who do what he does - use the fears and insecurities of weak people to tell them what to think.
I hope he goes away very, very fast. To compare him to a shithouse rat would be an insult to the intelligence of rats.

I grew up in Adams County, CO. Registered to vote when I turned 21 (way back when) in the county seat, Brighton. Back in the day, Colorado actually made sense. Right now I'm very glad I left there to settle in the wonderfully blue state of Oregon, but it's gonna take awhile to work through the grief at what's happened to my former home state.

Wow...

I am surrounded by these idiots who vote for these crazy wingnut religiofascists.
Most are Infowars/Fauxnews disciples. It's actually getting weirder and weirder around
here. I never once saw an ad for this Klingenspittle nutjob. Please keep us in your
thoughts, we are trying to hang on to the Blue parts of our lovely mountain state.
I've been putting off bying guns for protection but I may to get some soon just to be
able to escape to the border. We might have to join you "classof56" soon.

Maybe I shouldn't be surprised, given the nature of some e-mails forwarded to me by the few people in Adams County I kept in contact with through the years. Finally asked that they knock it off, and haven't heard from them since. So...I'm well aware of the mindset but simply don't understand it. It's like all they had was their hatred of President Obama, but why that translates itself to voting for out-and-out crazies is beyond me.

I will definitely keep you in my thoughts as you strive to hang onto the Blue parts of my former home state. Some of my pleasantest memories growing up there are of driving through the Rockies to enjoy the autumn foliage in all its glory. Those groves of quaking aspen...wow...Anyway, when you're ready to escape, we'd welcome you to Oregon. Meanwhile, hang in there, stay strong and as we used to say in the 60s--keep the faith!

only 1/3 of the people vote. It sounds like the idiot republicans voted for this guy without researching who he was or what he stood for. I expect some crazies to come out and win when these are the stats in America.

We need to make voting a mandatory requirement, not a right. Dr's excuses only allowed for non participation.

...but I'll go along with it if:

None-of-the-above is an option on all ballots.
The winning candidate must have an absolute majority of (eligible) voters.
All candidates have equal amounts of campaign funds and air time.
Increase in debates with mandatory participation of all candidates.
Decreased requirements for getting on the ballot.
