1. We peasants really ought to reach out to help the other peasants, don't you think?

And I'm sure that Alice Walton and her chums to the same, help one another with gifts from Tiffany's and Bentley.

It's the spirit of giving!

They might as well have said "let them eat cake".

I would have put a can of dog food or cat food in there to start the fun and games of her right wing right to work for less mentality

Then they act like their employees are scum because they have no money.

7. This sort of nonsensical contradiction is all the rage in RW ideology.
Wed Nov 26, 2014, 04:56 PM
Nov 2014

Take for instance:

"The unemployment figures are lies and, thanks Obama, there are no jobs!" spewed by the same RWer who within 24 hours will or will have said, "The poor are just lazy! If they wanted to work they could get a job."

Countless examples of similar hypocrisy constitute the RW world view.

The one where they act like there's no such thing as "working poor". They act like a job, ANY job is a cure all for EVERYTHING.

I liken it to a game show where they're showing off a new car, a house with a picket fence, two kids, a stay at home wife a dog,.."And all this can be YOURS if you get your lazy ass out there, ya bum!"

12. Yep. They relentlessly peddle that idea that, "If you work hard, you'll get rich."
Wed Nov 26, 2014, 09:48 PM
Nov 2014

And its corollary, the old gem, "Anybody who's rich worked hard to earn their wealth." You know the people who parrot these pillars of RW ideology have seen countless examples of their falsity, even in themselves in many cases, but for some reason they cling to those beliefs. It's maddening.

14. It's the whole "Horatio Alger" thing that also was popular during the Great Depression.....
Wed Nov 26, 2014, 11:44 PM
Nov 2014

Hollywood picked up on the whole "Rags to Riches" theme back then too.

It was popular when times were tough to see posh dinner parties,...

...with the idea that you could slip into that scene and be accepted and become rich yourself. Social climbing and "marrying up" became quite the thing.

The difference today is the Right Wing has come to think that ANYBODY can make it. Part of the reason they believe this is from the OTHER old chestnut, "If you're so smart, why aren't you rich?" This assumes the rich are the smart people. That cracks me up and is infuriating at the same time because I've known rich people who are too stupid to set the time on a digital wristwatch.

The people who say this shit are usually dumber than a bag of gravel and FELL into a middle class income EASILY. They KNOW they're fucking STUPID so they figure the only reason there are poor people is they MUST be lazy. Then they get pissed off thinking of these lazy people (guess what color they imagine) sitting around all day smoking crack and watching cable TV,.....ON THEIR DIME.

5. That’s the green they think about, the dollar profit
Wed Nov 26, 2014, 02:17 PM
Nov 2014

There is a certain synchronicity in the economics across the modern American corporate franchise. However Wal-Mart is the champion player in the retail division in game playing John Doe the general public.

Also, through the logistic supply of transportation of giants like the Union Pacific railroad, or with high balling double tractor trailer transports like Conway trucking also have that loyal employee scratching along that has lost basic holiday pay. What is amazing the railroads have unions and the truckers do too.

Likely all those employed or those that anticipate to be employed into the business schmuck-dome, that crown prince of retail delivering goods and building America with every out sourced commodity the Pacific Rim could supply to double profits without offering healthcare at the expense of everyones tax dollars. That’s the green they think about all the way to the bank…

expect them to live that way? You really want to force them to subsist on wealth that knocks them down into the top 1% of Americans?

Yeah, me too. At least that far down.

9. Walmart-Earning tens of billions a year and staving their employees.
Wed Nov 26, 2014, 06:50 PM
Nov 2014

This is the story of the Republicans. 1% makes all the billions in profits and those that do the hard work for that 1% get peanuts, food stamps, food bank, Salvation Army for dinner.
This is what America stands for now. The world needs to boycott Walmart. It would make thousand unemployed. What is worst?

10. The Walton Family are all billionaires

And yet they put these obscenities out in public.

How these blatant examples of the 1% in your face policies are worshipped by the right is the root of the GOP bubble reality.
