How The School to Prison Pipeline Ruins Lives Before They Start

I don't know if the school to prison pipeline started with the zero tolerance slogan, but

I don't think children should be arrested for having or using cell phones, being tardy, or having a water ballon fight.

And I heard that one of the biggest users of prison slave labor was Koch Industries. Arresting kids just for having cell phones? That's way, way over the top! That's the main way that parents stay in touch with their kids these days, for Pete's sake! Talk about mixed messages - be a good kid and stay in touch with your parents, and get arrested!
