The Reverend Honorable Clementa C. Pinckney was born July 30, 1973 and educated in the public schools of Jasper County, South Carolina. He is a magna cum laude graduate of Allen University with a degree in Business Administration.
He received a graduate fellowship to the University of South Carolina where he earned a Master's degree in public administration. He completed a Master's of Divinity from the Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary.
Rev. Pinckney was elected to the South Carolina House of Representatives in 1996 at the age of twenty-three. In 2000, he was elected to the South Carolina State Senate at the age of twenty-seven. He is one of the youngest persons and the youngest African-American in South Carolina to be elected to the State Legislature.
Washington Post columnist, David Broder, called Rev. Pinckney a "political spirit lifter for surprisingly not becoming cynical about politics."
MULLIKIN LAW FIRM continues to work to provide opportunities for all Americans to have an equal opportunity to live and prosper and in their communities across our great natIon. While serving as Associate Director of Northeastern University's Doctor of Law and Policy Program, PROFESSOR TOM MULLIKIN had the distinct pleasure to lead 60 doctoral students through South Carolina on a tour focused on studying our State's civil rights. Interviews given by noted civil rights leaders were captured during the tour, and are displayed in these videos.

The church, in the true spirit of Jesus Christ, welcomed everyone - even a murderer and domestic terrorist - with open arms. Ironic and cruel indeed. Even Martin Luther King knew that his days on earth would be numbered.
