2. I don't blame him

I can't tell you anything about our relationship with Pakistan, either. Officially, we are best buddies, and they help us fight the evil doers. We give them a whole bunch of money to buy their loyalty. In real terms, they take our money and do whatever they want. And what they want is completely unpredictable. Sometimes they help us, and other times they help the bad guys.

The Republicans are idiots with a firm faith in their own mythology.

At one point they actually believed Walker could be the next Reagan.

Their "thinking" is like this:

a) Reagan was wildly popular
b) Reagan was anti-Union
c) Being anti-Union is wildly popular
d) Walker is anti-Union
e) Walker is Reagan

This is the kind of thing that gin drinkers come up with.

5. I'll give him this: he has a good memory for talking points. Everything he said sounded like...

...like he was reading it off a flash card for the 100th time. There wasn't an ounce of conviction in his tone but he could pull up pre-fab answers that ran full paragraphs. I'll also give the panel credit for realizing that this time and pressing him a bit.
