Why not something like a spider or squid? This thing is supposed to operate in zero gravity!

Seriously, the humanoid body isn't very good from an evolutionairy point-of-view. Evolution took a perfectly fine fourlegged animal and made it balance on the two hind-legs.
At least they gave the robot more than 2 eyes...
