3. if bernie wins the nomination

won't that make him the leader of the dem party?

could he not at that point 'ease' her out?

she has clearly acted with hostility toward him. i fear his GE campaign would be sabotaged like mcgovern's was in 72.

and knowing DWS, i would not be at all surprised that she would sacrifice putting a dem in the WH in order to keep the wild progressives in line.

sorry; that was harsh. but she has so often, as cohen points out, colluded with the GOP.

in any case, we need her OUT asap if bernie wins the nomination. i so do not trust her.

6. The usual pattern in both parties is that an elected President picks the chair.

If the party's nominee loses the White House, however, then the losing nominee has much less influence. After Romney lost, there was a contested election for RNC Chair.

My guesses: A President Clinton would want DWS to stay on, a President Sanders would prefer a different person for the post, and in either case the DNC members would honor the President's choice. If the Republicans win the Presidency, however, it will depend more on the actual views of the DNC members. I have the impression that she's ticked off quite a few of them, not so much by being pro-Clinton as by being generally authoritarian. For example, AFAIK the much-criticized debate schedule was a DWS solo project, in which she didn't consult any other DNC members. If she no longer has the support a Democratic President, she might have trouble fending off a challenge.

him a letter. A staffer will read and route it to Pres. Obama -- no, no, it will be routed to the trash can. When Pres. Bernie Sanders enters the White House, he will hire a new chair for the DNC.
