(5,614 posts)This clip is fairly short but, to be honest, it seemed to go on forever. The horror of what was done, with the support of the US public, and the abject failure of so many of our leaders to stand and call out the lies and deceptions of the Bush administration is mind-blowing.
I knew, like many Americans knew, that Bush was lying. How could Congress and the media not know?
Its far worse than I thought.
What is the source of the video?

Addressing the question of how much television news she'd recently been watching, in light of the enormous media attention given to likely outcomes in a U.S. war with Iraq. The interview took place two days prior to the start of the Iraq War, Good Morning America, March 18, 2003.

(687 posts)to talk about that cackling laugh of hers that comes out at such inappropriate times.
There was another clip from the Charlie Rose Show that somebody posted here a few months ago. She was on with Bush Family Fixer Jim Baker, and the topic was war with Iran. Baker suggested that it was something that could well happen. Rose turned to Hillary and asked what she thought. There was a pause, and then out came that exact same cackle.
I never liked her in the first place -- but geez that creeped me out. It was so much worse than I expected.
Randi's clip shows the cackle again in response to a question about war.
This person has no business being President of the United States. We may well have to vote for her to keep the even worse character of Donald Trump or Ted Cruz from getting access to the Red Telephone -- but this country is really in a lot of trouble when our pool of national leadership is so shallow and so god-awful.
Bernie needs to win to keep us out of even more insane wars.

(1,113 posts)Experience is important. Hillary Clinton is probably the most capable Presidential candidate to run since Lyndon Johnson. But just as we learned from Johnson's Presidency, in the end, all the experience and insider contacts are not going to matter unless there is a true moral compass inside the President. Right judgment is the most important quality for anyone assuming the oval office.
