#March4Bernie on Feb 27

Building Grassroots Momentum for a Political Revolution
Support for Bernie is surging. The youthful wave of grassroots anger at the billionaire class that boosted Bernie in Iowa and New Hampshire has sent the Democratic Party establishment into a panic. Clinton is using her corporate funding, the corporate media, and her establishment ties to launch an all-out mudslinging campaign to derail Sanders. But if we organize and fight back, these dishonest attacks on Sanders will backfire on the establishment!

That’s why #Movement4Bernie is backing the call for an all-out mobilization for February 27th, when Sanders supporters across the country are organizing a second round of Marches for Bernie. The first round of #March4Bernie was a huge success, with thousands marching in dozens of cities. This second wave will be even bigger, and is timed to build momentum leading into the 11-state “Super Tuesday” primaries on March 1st.

Challenge Clinton and Stop the Republican Right
Many people are excited about the prospect of having our first woman president. But, Hillary Clinton is an entrenched establishment politician who is tied to Wall Street. She voted for the Iraq war and has received millions in donations from big corporations. We can't let the campaign we've built get funneled behind “business as usual” politics.

The billionaires are afraid of us: the corporate-controlled media distorts our message; they reduced the amount of debates, and over 150 prominent Democrats endorsed Clinton while only a handful endorsed Bernie. The Democratic Party leadership is sabotaging Bernie's campaign, not overseeing a fair and democratic election, and we need to fight back. When Clinton and the Democratic Party establishment attack Bernie, we need to be organized to respond with an active campaign across the country and lay the basis for a lasting movement.

Inequality and Racism are Running Rampant
Bernie's campaign has opened up an urgently needed debate about an alternative to capitalism -- democratic socialism.

Just 20 billionaires in the U.S. now have more wealth than the combined wealth of the poorest 50% of Americans. Children should not be living in poverty in the richest country on earth, and millions of people who work every day should not struggle to put a roof over their heads.

This economic insecurity and anger is creating fertile ground for far-right politicians like Trump to whip up racism and anti-immigrant sentiment, dividing working people and distracting us from our common enemy, Wall Street and the big-business politicians who keep us poor. This fuels the racist mass incarceration system, devaluing Black lives and people of color generally. It fuels the attacks on women and their reproductive rights. But it also fuels our determination to build toward a real political alternative for working people.
