I was a tree planter in Oregon for 12 yrs.
Averaging 800-1200 trees a day
I planted over 1 million trees from California to Montana.
By law any forest that gets cut must be replanted within 5 yrs. to 800 trees per acre.
Aerial seeding has been tried but results in "dog hair" forests, too thick and unhealthy for timber production.
Timber harvest can and is able to be sustainable.
