They had to meet... I read Pope Francis' encyclical on Climate Change and the environment, and it was beautifully and eloquently written. As I was reading it, what constantly went through my mind was: By God, everyone should read this! A couple of true progressives, genuinely concerned for the future of our planet.

Such a good heart in that one. Watching the proceedings on youtube now, and he is just beaming with excitement. I have no doubt that this man will do great things as President.

of market powers they are wrong. Bernie is calling for exactly what FDR and other early Democratic presidents called for. A mixed economy with a strong market adjusted to the needs of all the people.

That is not what has been happening since 1980. Bernie and the Pope are also suggesting that today it has to be a global issue not just us.

Where are the churches that used to care about these issues. The Catholic Church is being asked to return to those days. Where are the rest of the churches?

Where are the Unions? They helped our early Democratic presidents get the needed regulations passed. Where are they now?

We need to come behind this idea and elect officials who are going to work for everyone not just the 1%.

BERNIE SANDERS, A TRUE VISIONARY IN OUR MODERN TIME!

Pope Francis: “The synod experience also made us better realize that the true defenders are not those who uphold its letter, but its spirit; not ideas but people; not formulas but free availability of God’s love and forgiveness,” Pope Francis said. “I see in Senator Bernard Sanders a man of great integrity and moral conviction, who understands these principles and genuinely wants what’s best for all people.”
