(18,837 posts)...adds several tons of credibility to everything she's laid out.
Not that she needed it.
But Rinder was the #2 guy in the organization, behind Miscavige. Having Rinder tell his story as part of this series is about as damning as evidence gets.

(3,847 posts)Yeah baby!! Good for her, at least one cult needs to be busted up. Maybe they will find Shelley Miscavge's body.
She mentioned in the first show that Shelley was not at Tom Cruise's wedding, but had no idea she went missing.

(409 posts)the LAPD closed the case after an un-named detective or detectives supposedly met with Shelly in person. From what I've read, some are skeptical about whether the meeting ever actually took place. It seems like the main theory though, by former members of the Church, is that she's been banished to one of the churches remote locations, in a sort of forced isolation. The church claims she's just busy working, out of the public eye.
Her "disappearance" was one of the catalysts to Leah leaving the Church of Scientology. According to her, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes' wedding was an extremely important event to the Church. She said that Shelly and Tom Cruise were close, so she couldn't understand why Shelly wouldn't be at the wedding. When she started asking around, nobody would tell her where Shelly was. She claims that she was heavily reprimanded for even questioning Shelly's whereabouts and she was made to undergo Sec Check, Truth Rundown and Reprogramming by the church.
From what I've read, the last time Shelly was seen in public was in 2007 at her father's funeral.
