(19,558 posts)It seems "Trump Regets" is a real thing, and then there's the majority of the country who voted against him in the first place.
He's going to sprain his fingers lambasting the pollsters!

(16,104 posts)A number of us even at DU were warning about complacency - the polls had been trending tighter, especially after the totally unexpected Comey letter.
And the national polling, where Clinton won, got it right.
Nothing Corrupt Trump says or tweets should be considered real or fact. Nothing.

Maybe, he should have stuck to "one President at a time."

(36,660 posts)Obama still higher?

(6,831 posts)January 21, 2009, President Barack Obama had an initial 68% approval rating.
Also, Bush 43, "Dubya" had an initial approval rating in the mid-50s in January 2001.
Thus, their initial incoming approval ratings were 20+ points higher than Cheeto Face.

Outgoing, Dubya had an approval rating in the mid-30s, according to that Gallup poll done January 11, 2009.

(23,061 posts)Most of the world is almost as scared of Drumpf as we are. They are afraid of a world without NATO and Russia on the march, seizing other countries with impunity. They are afraid of what the thinskinned idiot will do out of pique, up to and including nuclear attacks for no reason other than his "widdle fwellings gots hurt". They are scared about what he will do to enrich himself and screw over other nations.
For our part, I am terrified about what he will allow to happen with Medicare, SS and Medicaid along with our healthcare system in general. I am worried about how we will survive when I retire and my younger husband who has a chronic illness will no longer have medical coverage due to the death of the ACA and no comparable plan put forward by Repugs. I am really worried about him criminalizing dissent and changing the law so that anything done by a police officer is OK, regardless of the real facts and situation.
Nightmare times are upon us!

(18,470 posts)Along with how he and his GOP buddies want to do away with safety nets, destroy Social Security, and turn Medicare into some sort of voucherized pile of shit.

(20,628 posts)high number, given how apparent it was that he was losing it at the time his Presidency ended. If so, that puts Democratic Presidents in the top two spots.

(14,164 posts)That now, no doubt, are regretting their choice. I'd be curious about a new poll with Trump vs Hillary.
What kind of hate laden brain would choose not only Trump, an elite Hollywood TV star, but the do-nothing GOP congress that had record level disapproval ratings, and the Senate as well, if they were fine with Obama, a Democrat?

(11,084 posts)After all, they called the election way wrong. And he claims he won the popular vote when he didn't. So, he will probably claim, without evidence, that he is actually very popular.

(4,291 posts)Drumpf's dark lord and master, Vlad the Anal-Impaler, is feverishly working on hacking the public opinion pollsters.
Mark my words: within days of the inFrauduration, you'll see a bump up in favorable ratings.

(5,730 posts)Fox isn't even close. I cross check online to see what they are reporting. They don't even report lead stories if they would be critical. Anything they do report, except tornados, they leave out 75% of the facts, and report it as a Democratic scam.
