John Dickerson (Face The Nation) Just Won The DUMBASS REPORTER OF THE WEEK Award. No small feat.

Face The Nation's John Dickerson just won the DUMBASS REPORTER OF THE WEEK Award, which is a HIGHLY contested prize these days. Congratulations, that was no small achievement.

He won it for failing to ask Trey "Cletus" Gowdy the most obvious question you could possibly think of. You really have to have the IQ of a nematode to NOT ask this question.

At the 4:00 minute mark, Gowdy whines that the Trump-Russia investigation should be done in private.

Gowdy: "Why are we satisfied with every other facet of culture having serious investigations done confidentially….and yet when it comes to Congress we think we ought to have a PUBLIC HEARING."

The obvious question being...WAS THE BENGHAZI hearing done in private? Was the Clinton Email investigation done in private? Was the Fast & Frivolous investigation done in private?

Gowdy is an irritating, partizan little hit man, but he can't help himself. He's an asshole by nature. But the REPORTERS who give him a free pass on being an asshole really need to be called on it.
