(And I should remind Billo that for some of us were raised to believe IrishCatholicDemocrat was - traditionally - one word.)

Both are losing viewers so at some point in the future Stewart and O'Reilly will just watch each other's show and comment.

After the immigrants 100 years ago or before? The immigrants since then? The real problem is that the PTB (with the nerve to run one of their own for president) have been shipping the U.S. (and yes, we are the U.S.--America includes most of this continent) to cheaper, exploited countries. Of course, this is shortsighted, but these guys have the money to be citizens of the world. They'll be comfortable elsewhere (Paraguay)? while the U.S, falls apart.

O'Reilly isn't stupid. The contrast of the words he used (conservative: traditional, self reliance, robust, exceptionalism liberal: unfettered abortion, non-traditional, spends heavily, one world foreign policy) was clearly intentional. Yet again the conservatives feel that by labeling their opponents with these labels that designate them as morally inferior they will somehow win more votes. What they are missing is that a lot of Obama voters may not support all those policy positions but are more turned off by comments about self deportation and rape. If you are turned off by these positions and don't wish to see people who hold them in high office then clearly you are a degenerate who just wants a free ride.
I have some advice for the national leaders of the GOP. Respond forcefully to the clowns in your party who make such extreme statements and note that while they may hold those positions, you don't. Stop taking a holier than thou approach to those who don't vote for you and start listening to them. You can hold an intelligent, moderate and conservative position that can adjust to modern society. Adjust and apply your values to solve real problems, not problems you have made up to divide people.

Here is the copy of my specific complaint to the FCC I have submitted to them tonight:

Bill O'Reilly has continually referred to "Obama Voters" as those who do not work and rely on public assistance for their living. On this program he states "A coalition of voters put the president back into the oval office. That coalition was non-traditional... (snip) which means it veered away from robust capitalism and self reliance." I find these remarks personally offensive to my entire family. None of us collect assistance, we all work for a living, and have long standing traditions. Yet he calls us all "pinheads" that want a large government that spends heavily on entitlements. This is simply non-factual yet presented again and again as "facts". He refers only to his loyal followers as "patriots" and all democrats as "pinheads" THIS MUST STOP. We have served our country proudly and he must stop this classification of all americans into such categories. I'm as patriotic as any republican, and sick of being referred to as "pinhead" because I am a democrat.

the policies of our party seem MORE patriotic versus their policies when you take a look at some of them. We support increasing revenue towards government programs, while Goopers want to dodge taxes. We want to end the wars, whle the Gooper candidate for president wanted to start a war with Iran and Russia and get more Americans in harm's way. The Gooper Congress has repeatedly impeded the prez's agenda and stated their top priority of ruining his re-election chances (which they failed at).
If the Goopers are trying to be patriotic, then they're the worst patriots ever.

John Stewart is like Bill Os conscious.

Truth is, he TOTALLY sounded like he was lamenting previously.

Seems to me like he walked back his own hysterical rhetoric in this video, probably because John Stewart is hard to argue with.

He's not really partisan.

He's just smart and good at illustrating political issues in hilarious and effective ways.
