On February 15, Mecums will auction off the entire Bruce Weiner Minicar Museum at no reserve in Madison Georgia. The cars are in mostly pristine condition.

The entire 800 page catalogue is online here as a slide show. It's obviously fairly big, so you may have to give it a half minute or so to load. Have patience:

Besides the usual BMW Isettas and Messerschmitts, there are some unusual automobilia lots as well.

Here's a very cool commercial for the auction featuring a race between a Mustang and a Peel P50:

At least I would have the maneuverability to get-out-of-the-way.

I think American car companies should make a Mini sized
commuter car without all the bells and whistles and charge
$5000-$8000. It would save on gas and make an easy commute.

HOWEVER - Try to force the car companies to make anything that costs less than $15K? Oh, we can't allow the American public to think they can get away with paying less than $16K!?

It may be the next step to reducing gas consumption to force manufacturers to make smaller "commuter cars" that will bump the consumption way down. But will the oil companies allow that to happen. Let's see...how many memvers of congress have they bought? Oh MY! - All of them (except a very few)

We need to get Bernie and Grayson and Elizabeth Warren and the few ohers to give things a push.

I bought an American made car after 25 years of Japanese and I've already written a number of letters to the company telling them what a pisce of crap they make and that I am going back to Japanese because they , at least, listen to what the consumer wants and I don't have to pay a repair bill once or twice ayear on a two year old car. They just can't be trusted to make a dependable car with high milage.

3 times he goes "owwwwww!", before carrying on and praising how great he is. It seems like maybe he hits a bump? Why is that painful?

Also, isn't it a little unsafe to pump petrol into a trash can full of paper products? Not to mention toxic.

Other than that, I'd love to see development of some kind of personal vehicle like this where you are sheltered from the elements.
