Mike Malloy reviews the John Brennan confirmation hearing (4 videos)

In the first 2 parts Mike gives his opening thoughts about Brennan and plays clips (which I supplemented with C-SPAN video) of the Code Pink protesters disrupting the hearing and cmte. chair Dianne Feinstein's five different reactions.

In the next 2 parts, Malloy breaks down some of Brennan's answers to senators' questions about anti-terror policy like interrogation and drone warfare. This first with questions from senators Saxby Chambliss (Rep. of Mike's home state Georgia) " Your view seems to be that even if we can save American lives by detaining more terrorists using only traditional techniques it would be better to kill them with a drone or let them go free rather than detain them. Can you explain the logic in that argument?" and Ron Wyden (Dem. of Oregon) "So, my question is, what should be done next to ensure that public conversation about drones so that the American people are brought into this debate and have a full understanding of what rules the government is going to observe when it conducts targeted killings?" In this final part, Mike takes on Brennan's notorious refusal to provide a personal definition of torture when prompted by Carl Levin and concludes the hearing was empty theatrics.
