So I'm sitting on some steps, talking with a gang of people on my brother's street. Two guys

and a girl walk by and ask for directions to Charlotte Street. Say they are going to a party there. We direct them 3 blocks south east, to where Charlotte Street starts. A minute later I walk home and come upon the same people. Only they are headed due north. Why? Were they casing us? I don't really understand the point of lying to us like that.

Maybe they became uneasy with their surroundings as they made their way there Populist_Prole Jun 2012 #1

I was wrong. The street extends north beyond the park. I walk on it every day. Did not know it was applegrove Jun 2012 #4

Maybe they have a markedly bad sense of direction. I know some people who are just hopeless when it comes to giving them directions. They don't know from south form north or east or west: they have to be told turn here or turn there as they go.

I am severely directionally challenged and if you said southeast, I'd most likely head northwest.

When people give me directions they MUST use "left, right". Or better yet, draw a map with arrows and "left" and "right" marked.

Even with my Garmin, I can fuck up. "Recalculating" in that posh British woman's voice is an inside family joke at our house since everyone hears it so much from the Garmin when I drive.
