LAS VEGAS -- A Las Vegas judge has denied a request from boxer Floyd Mayweather to serve the remainder of his jail sentence from home.
Judge Melissa Saragosa denied Mayweather's request late Wednesday.
Mayweather claimed he was underfed and also unable to train. The judge denied his request, saying chose not to eat the food available and that he could train in his cell.
Mayweather was sent to jail for 90 days starting on June 1 after being arrested for domestic violence.
He was accused of hitting and threatening his ex-girlfriend, stealing her cell phone and threatening two of their children at her home in September 2010. He could have faced 34 years in prison.

So Floyd Mayweather Jr. doesnt like jail. As heavyweight champion Joe Louis said when he was told that an opponent didnt like to get hit in the body, Who do?
With his client just 12 days into a three-month jail sentence on domestic battery at the Clark County Detention Center, Mayweathers lawyer, Richard Wright, filed an emergency motion on Monday to have the 35-year-old pound-for-pound king finish his sentence under house arrest.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal got a copy of the 35-page motion, which paints Mayweather as a man who is more than just a little homesick. Wright said the boxers physical condition is deteriorating with the stress that hes under while in jail and his boxing career is in jeopardy.
Wright called Mayweathers condition inhumane. For his own safety Mayweather is in segregation and spends 23 hours a day confined to his cell in a part of the jail that houses felons. He has access to the recreation area for one hour a day, but cant use the training facilities. Along with being subjected to the poor prison food, he is getting out of shape.

Release him to the GP. The baddest guy in the ring isn't necessarily the baddest guy in the jail house.
Screw him.

(24,262 posts)Over the years he has beaten his girlfriends and wife, assaulted patrons and staff in nightclubs, and committed battery against a security guard at his compound.
A couple of years ago, one of his body guards fired several shots into a group of people at a skating rink, apparently at Floyd's instruction.
Fuck em!

(17,671 posts)keep it in the ring. Judges, and pretty much everybody else, take a dim view of professional ass kickers threatening people. And they won't have much sympathy for your chickenshit whining either.
