I read somewhere it was "Holiday For Strings," seems that was wrong.

I initially posted a Spike Jones version of Holiday for Strings & realized that wasn't it.
I Googled Captain Kangaroo theme song & found several references to Puffin' Billy.
I listened first & said that's it.
