Need help with my husbands Christmas gift......he wants a warm vest to wear inside.

He’s 76 and gets chilly easily……and he indicated he’d like a warmer vest for inside for just watching tv. Any suggestions?? Have been on line, most are that puffy stuff which he doesn’t want…….he’s got one now, but it’s just like a sweater feel, and he says not warm enough…….so, what’d ya think??

just google "men's flannel vest" and you will see quite a variety. I even saw one that was sherpa lined.

Check out Sierra Trading Co. online for a vest. I like Columbia sport in fleece. Light enough for indoor but toasty. Columbia has their own site and sometimes has deals. Make haste for cyber Monday.

I haven't decided which one I'm getting me for a present yet. So many choices that I like.
It's hard to go wrong with a quality wool item, they last and they really keep you warm. Glad you could choose so quickly! I hope he likes it too.

It is wool that is heated to shrink into a very tight weave, also called felting as in turning it into felt.

Your favorite wool hat or sweater when you cook them in the dryer.

It's really warm when worn.

another approach to added warmth might be a Merino wool or wool blend undershirt and knit cap or wool beret.

It's no fun being uncomfortable indoors or out.

I just removed one of my larger lined Irish tweed waistcoats, which I had been wearing over a tighter fitting Scottish wool sweater vest.

It's delightful to have flexibility in layering.

It makes no sense for me to invest in a heavy winter coat because we rarely have temps below freezing. Even with our MEGA FREEZE last February, I just piled on the layers. Then I can peel them off when it's warmer inside.
