So how many of you have a ring or some type of security cameras for you home???

1. Not us. We have two barking dogs for security.

And locks.

2. I have a ring doorbell. Love it.

My daughter got it for me last Christmas and I was skeptical since I don't like all the stuff which takes over your home.

But the ring doorbell is great. I rely on it a lot.

Tells me when someone is standing in front of my door whether I am home or not. Sends a message and picture to my cell phone. Let's me know if someone just dropped off a package but didn't ring the doorbell.

3. I don't feel I need a security system we have very few

breakins around here. I don't have that much to steal anyway.

4. we have Blink cameras mounted on the eaves,,,, in the carport and in the back,,,,

also a trail camera on the ground in the back,,,,

ours is less about security and more about what critters come by at night

7. Eufy and Wyze Cameras

First they don’t do much for security. In my experience just because you have video doesn’t mean you will be able to catch a bad actor. But they have answered questions for what happened when things go amiss. Videos of porch pirates, dog walkers not picking up after the dog and my own mugging all make for nifty souvenirs but not much else. No crimes have been solved though there was one dogwalker who was later chastised for her dereliction of doo doo duty.

I like to check on the dogs when they are out back doing their business. And when they are lounging around the house.

I also like to see what is happening out front without looking out the windows. I would mount permanently out front but haven’t determined the best position yet.

It’s handy for checking to see if my front porch is free of carrion.
