He has one and uses it a lot, he's disabled, and this works better than the pull-down door, I have the pull-down and love it, I hope that helps

I’ve had one for a couple of years and I love it so much, I’m looking for one that has a larger capacity. I can make 4 bone in skin on chicken thighs that are juicy inside and crispy outside in 18 minutes and don’t have to deal with grill flare ups. Homemade croutons in 8 minutes. Crispy tofu in 10 minutes. Salmon fillets in 6 minutes. Basically any entree cooks in the time it takes to make a side salad. All the the components that food touches are dishwasher safe.

I learned the hard way NOT to use my air fryer and my microwave at the same time as they are both plugged into the same circuit (as my 'always-on' refrigerator), unless I wanted to make a 'trip' to my circuit breaker panel.

So, I placed a small sign on each NOT-To-Use when other similar devices are operating.

Noting from the link you provided, Emeril's air fryer utilizes about 1700 watts.

The back of my cheapo unit gets very hot where the vent is. I use mine on a rolling cart so I can keep it away from anything flammable.
I mostly use it for tater tots, fries, kielbasa, hot dogs, and corn dogs. The odd veggie gets cooked in there, too.

The adult kids mostly use it for fried stuff -- chicken nuggets and patties, etc. However, we also do frozen french fries in ours, which turn out fantastic. It's also great for frozen fish like salmon or cod. We tried baked potatoes, and they were okay (very crispy on the outside), but not as good as a slow bake in the oven with a potato nail. We also use it for the commercial frozen chicken cordon bleus every once in a while, and those turn out perfectly as well.

However, we do have something of a dead corner on our kitchen counter, so it fits well there. I don't know if I'd like it sitting out as much if we didn't have such a big space for it.

I mostly use it for cooking frozen fish, reheating pizza, and roasting cauliflower, tempeh and almonds.

Air "fryer" is a bit of a misnomer. If you want the crisp and crunch of pan or deep frying, this device won't fit the bill. I tried making grilled-cheese sandwiches, and although the cheese melted, the bread didn't have a toasted texture.

I've found that the temperature and cooking times listed in the owners' manual are a good baseline, but I've had to adjust those through trial and error.

The fryer's non-stick basket and grill are easy to clean.

Mine is a Gourmia and I got it on special for $40 at Costco.

That's it! Hope this is useful.

Its okay. He did chicken in it last night, and it turned out.....okay. Its a big one, and I'm not thrilled with how much space it takes up in our little kitchen.
