Mine do just that... One will show up out of nowhere at 6 pm on the dot..it's dinnertime. He will suddenly be sitting next to me, or peering from behind the laptop, or gently pawing my arm until I don't pay attention quick enough...then he bats at me.

Yes...all to report a hungry.

But it doesn't always have to be hunger. Sometimes they just want to hog all the attention. Mine likes to lie down on the keyboard if I am on the computer too long. She is also very good at sitting down on books and newspapers while they are being read.
