I have a serious pet peeve with this

Something is NOT free if it asks that you give them a credit card in order to see whatever it is they have for free.

Personally I don't trust giving out my credit card information even for freebies.

Case in point - Experian had something where you could see your credit score for free but then it askes for a credit card number first.

Sorry, that's just lame advertising.

with that sort of thing too.

And yet, many people will just go along with it.

If it says "free" and I have to pay anything at all...and especially if I have to give credit card info, I just back right the hell out and that's it.
