Have you tried Templeton Rye?

(12,008 posts)but I just looked it up, and I'll pick up a bottle if I see it in a store. I really like the Bulleit rye, which is great, especially for the price.

(12,132 posts)I've had their whiskey and liked it and I want to audition their rye for a regular spot in my liquor cabinet.
In the meantime, happy 10K and I tip my Magic Hat #9 Not Quite Pale Ale to you.

(12,008 posts)It seems that while I was on England, rye made a big comeback in the US. I remember that Jim Beam was about the only one available ten years ago, and even then it was a specialty thing. I've got a bottle of that here now, but Bulleit is better. I've had a few from Sazarac as well, but the best I've had, by far, is the Van Winkle.
That Magic Hat is a great beer itself. I first had it when a rep was giving out free tasters at a bar I was at one night. That's all my friends and I needed to buy a few pints.

(12,008 posts)You were one of the people who was very nice to me when I was a newbie - and, shockingly, you're still nice to me! It's nice to have friends. Chin-chin from my something-teenth old fashioned to your non-alcoholic whatever.
