"Knights on the Rim are Dim" and other Chess rules.

If you're a chess player you might remember that quote. I also remember another one: "A rook on the 7th (rank) is like a bone in the throat"

Are there any chess players here? Do you play online?

Yes, AVID chessplayer here, although I don't play online--I just don't devote the time to it. Much prefer over-the-board play with live people I can see.

..one on a corner square, only 2
move. It demonstrates the importance of the center of the board. Chess.com is free , there are tens of millions of players, worldwide.
