They tapes yes TAPES at/after the show. They got to where they are by putting in the time and world of mouth on college campuses. I never went to see one of their shows in The Bottom. I wish I had.

I can't believe they aren't already in the Hall, as well as, some of these others.

Who’s left to choose for next year’s inductees? Iron Butterfly? 10cc? Pantera?
Rock is dead. Get over it Grandpa.

..a big uptick in rock & country. Rock is up nearly 100% in 2 years.
These 2 genres took their biggest bites out of Rap/Hip-Hop.

2 out of every 11 streams is rock.
So, your proclamation seems contradicted by the actual numbers.

Rock stars still sell out arenas and are downloaded in high amounts on streaming platforms. And Pantera should definitely be in the Hall of Fame.

Seems whether a band rocked, or didn’t, they will all end up in the Hall of Fame. Those that truly were influencers, and Foreigner, et al.

John Mayall and Big Mama Thornton particularly great choices.
Not familiar with Quest but they must be as goid as the other inductees.

I get that it hasn't been about rock for quite a while.
A lot of it sales volume. Mary J sold nearly 40 million records just in the US.

But the Rock Hall is really a joke in the way it plays favorites. The fact that the Monkees are not in the Hall -- not even Nesmith or Dolenz as solo artists -- is really really sad. But they're not the only examples. It needs to come down off its high horse and admit more great artists and not leave them on the side because Jann Wenner or the Hall committee is prejudiced against them.

I saw Frampton a few times -- once opening for John Mayall, once at Winterland (I believe that was the night a sign hung from the balcony saying, "We're here to see you, Peter!" and with Ringo Starr and the All-Starr Band. Loved his first solo album.
