My home state is politically a shithole for sure, but the music and food in the French Quarter will make you forget for a while.
I don't know why some DU'ers bristle at criticisms of their state (e.g. Texas, Louisiana). We are not personally the assholes. We are Democrats.

Elusive Alaska used to be on my bucket list, but I no longer have a desire to visit.
I never actually stepped foot in Mississippi because I shot straight through it, non-stop.
