From the "No Good Will Come Of This" files...

Seen on the front page of Wikipedia this day...

"The Walt Disney Company announces an agreement to purchase Lucasfilm for US$4.05 billion and produce additional Star Wars films."

What could possibly go wrong?

Well, let's see:

1. Hire actors who either can't act or phone it in.

2. A writer and director who can't write and apparently has forgotten everything he ever knew about directing.

3. Make sure that at least one of the supporting characters is an offensive stereotype.

4. Rip off scenes from other films, re #2

5. Stupid implausible plot points, re #2 again

In short, everything could go wrong if the Mouse hires the same crew that screwed up John Carter or lets Lucas anywhere near the production.

On the other, they could make it worth Joss Whedon's time

... (despite Big Bang Theory being my favorite TV show) that I got over Star Wars several decades ago.

And I kinda wonder why anyone who hasn't, hasn't
