(1,110 posts)I have a "Y" in the middle because my mother didn't want me to be a plain Jane.
(And no, Jayne Mansfield had nothing to do with it. I was born long before she came on the scene.)

(111 posts)So I have no middle name. Neither do either of my brothers.
We've spent our whole lives explaining why we left the "Middle Name" part of the form blank, lol.

Dad was just weird that way, thinking all a kid needed was ONE name. Sure, Dad, even though YOU got a middle name...

My grandma's name was Evelyn Marion. One of of her daughters was Marion Evelyn.
And I, as the first grandchild, got to get Evelyn as my middle name.
That's my dad's side of the family.
The men have passed down either Robert or Joseph as first or middle names.

(3,134 posts)It's pronounced gall-oh and it sounds great pronounced in Spanish but in English, not so much. When I changed my name I dropped it.
Which in Hebrew is Tovah , meaning good. So I always say "good is my middle name"
But I also use my maiden name as a middle name.

After one of my mom's sisters. Mom says she was good to us kids when we were younger, but my memory of her is just an old bitter woman.
