I just got my check from a lawsuit settlement!!!! What can I buy for you?

Seriously.
You may or may not know that there was a class action suit against Allstate car insurance for the way they were collecting premiums.
all current and former Allstate car insurance customers became part of the class action settlement.

My check came today!
for the grand sum of
$1.33 cents.

You can imagine my excitement.

... was a five dollar coupon for another Fischer Price toy. I never used it. The lawyers made MILLIONS on the settlement. I totally ignore such things. They aren't about the consumers, just a way for lawyers to make a shitload of money for nothing.

I was at the mall today and they had a HUGE Tootsie Pop dispenser where you could get a Tootsie Pop for 50 cents. You could get me one, but that would be more than a third of your settlement. Oh well, invest wisely!

My check from a class action ebay lawsuit was Zero and 01/100 dollars. Just enough for a Ford Fiesta.

Just for kicks and to screw with JPMorgan....I never cashed it.

9. Great minds! Ain't cashing this one, either.

I changed insurance companies a few years ago, after being mad at Allstate for trying to duck and dodge hurricane damage claims after Katrina.
I figure it will cost them more than a couple of bucks to do the book keeping on the shredded check.
