The Amityville Horror is on THIS TV!!!

It is the newest of the movies. It has a lot of extra dramatization in it. I have studied the case before and I will say what I have always said when I was Ghost Investigating back in the day. That case does not need to have extra drama added!

I remember seeing the writer of the book on talk shows in the 1970s. There was one incident he described that sent shivers down my spine. He said the father was outside the house one day and looked up to his young daughter's bedroom window and saw what appeared to be a hog's head looking down at him.

I'd love it if you decided to share more about your Ghost Investigating. Evidently you think the Amityville debunkers were harsh?

The case of Amityville, as well as another one that was dramatized for the big screen, have much to offer in ways of proof. However, no one can figure out why they were victimized. And why there has been little to no activity since. What little that has been reported is no where near what happened to the family(s) in this case. Remember that in the case of Amityville there was the murder/possession, then the the haunting/oppression of the next.

,back in college I should say, I was part of a group called the MOSO Ghost Hunters. We had people from the Psychology School, Law School, Communication Department ( My B.A is in Communication) even the Physics Department involved. We investigated haunting reports in the KS,MO,OK, AR area. The group is still active to date.

Through them I meet many well known names in Paranormal Investigation. We even too John Zaffis to a place to see the phenomena called the Hornet Spook Light. Old Spooky did not disappoint! It gave Zaffis a show!

I knew some folks in Duke's Parapsychology Dept. a LOOONG time back. And I spent (and still do as much as I can) a big part of my life in New Orleans, which will make you believe if anything can. In fact back in October I found myself wandering around outside the LaLaurie House, which, if it isn't haunted it should be. Interestingly, after a horrific history, it was bought by Nicolas Cage, but he didn't live there and may have lost it in his recent troubles. But it's interesting--in a place known for bright colors it's Battleship Grey and black, just sucks the color out of the whole block. And has no address or indicators on it any more. May have gotten too much attention but trust me, the NOLA tour guides know where it is and play it to the max. And since I love an old graveyard, the Cities of the Dead there are just amazing. I've been known to leave a few coins at Marie LaVeau's tomb, along with all the rest. I do believe in intentions.

Anyway, it's all very interesting and though I don't believe I am fascinated.

AKA Spooky. It goes by many names. I grew up going and watching it do it's thing. That is also why we wanted to take Zaffis to see it. It is the areas clam to fame!

Since I read about it, I had wanted to go check it out, considering that it was so close to where I was (but yet, so far away). The only time I was ever in Southwest City was in broad daylight, just passing through, in someone else's car, and the person I was with didn't want to stop and ask about the spooklight. Oh, well...

By the way, is the spooklight property public or private? Does one need permission from a landowner to witness this spectacle?

Just pull over and wait. You may see a lot of people lining the road just go up some to get away from the crowds or, if you want some fun watching people get spooked, set back and watch. You never know when Spooky wants to join someone in there car!

Word of warning, it sometimes comes. sometimes not.

Super dysfunctional family. Controlling, mean father. Teen guy nutso and heavy on drugs. No mystery.

There is a great long interview with the guy in prison. They discuss the night he killed everyone. Just listen to him talk, and you can tell he's nuts, and lies a lot. Even during the story, he changes the story. He tries to blame his sister for starting everything, and says at one point that she egged him on or fired the first shot or something. At the conclusion of the interview, however, the interviewer shows shots of the murdered family members, including the sister, who was shot while sleeping in her bed. She could not have been egging anyone on or doing anything.

This was a violent guy wacked out on drugs who had had an altercation with his parents that night. He got the shotgun out and killed all family members, then went for a drive. It was a nice night, he said in the interview...the drive, I mean.

There is no mystery here. It's just a shame that no one recognized before then how dangerous he was.

BTW, he doesn't seem to have any remorse. He is lacking that gene. Sociopathic, I think is what it's called. Even for his the little ones he killed. Very sad.

Their is also history with the area in general. And then we bring in a family that is blended, learning to get along, as well as the Mr. Lutz being under external stressed as well is what made for the oppression that happened with the Lutz family. The movies of course dramatized it to the extreme.

Many don't believe of course. And I in no way wish to make believers. There is a theory that thinks that not believing in such things can help protect them. And I wish not to take that protection from anyone!

It was his abusive father and the drugs. And he's crazy! If there were a chance he could blame it on possession, and pass that off, he would.
