My new computer has gone unused for a week...

Not because I don't like it. Hell, I love it. The problem is that my current install disks for my internet service is incompatible with Windows 8. I have to wait until they send me a new one in order to use it online.

BAH!

Exactly why should anyone need install disks with a brand new computer in this day and age?

It's a PC problem, I cannot help you.

sorry.

Can't you download the program using the computer that you're on now and burn your own disc?

I've been waiting patiently for my family to get DSL, but it doesn't seem to be a possibility in the near future. Right now I'm on my old computer, because the program's already installed on it.

It's just frustrating.

AOL?

Seriously, I've dragged my machines around the country for the last decade. The most I've ever needed to go on line is a password at a motel.

Here in Japan, for example, if you want your own private roaming service, you often need special peripheral equipment that can only be activated with a start-up disk.

By the way, are you Hayabusa the bird (falcon), or Hayabusa the very fast train that now runs between Tokyo and Aomori?

that requires the installment disk. The Explorer and the launcher.

And, actually, it's Hayabusa the wrestler, who took his ringname after the bird.
