I got almost a perfect score for my entire Professional Writing class.

There were 5 major projects and several lesser assignments for a total of 435 possible points. I got 431 points.

Now I've got a math course that I have an exam for tomorrow and a final exam for on the 17th. I've got a 'A' in there right now, but 35% of the grade is on those final two exams.

I'll tell you what, I'm about worn out. I work about 50 hours a week and take two classes a semester. I've heard of people working full time and going to school full time, but I don't know how they do it. I'm looking forward to the winter break.

I know how you're doing it: You're very bright, you have a huge motivation, and you know what you want.

I hear ya about the winter break, though. I hope you get a nice long one!

Congratulations!

Most college students do it... I believe it's called "slamming for a test". I employed
that tactic for 6 years of college and it worked for me. At the end of those 6 years...

Seriously, WOOHOO on your "might-as-well-say-you-aced-the-course" results!!!

about your writing grade!

Math was always a struggle until I finally got a "good" math professor. Sometimes getting math is just the way it's presented. But that said, I'll never take a math class for as long as I live!

I hear you about balancing work, school, and home life. I was a non-traditional student too raising a family. But the rewards are well worth it!

Am cheering for you.

My daughter is 21 (in a few weeks), three classes (two next semester) 40-50 hours a week. Yesterday she had the chance to get some overtime and worked over TWELVE hours and got in five minutes before we got up to start our day.

I had to stay up, until 1 in the morning last week and it took me five days to recover.

You're motivated. That's how you do it. You have plans and goals. Teachers like older students too.
