Alley took pity (sort of) on me and got me a Kindle Fire HD
I have been on the road for 5 months with only two days home time, and I only took that when my kid sister passed away. Last week I was supposed to take a single day off after making a delivery near L.A. Of course I got dispatched on another load before I even made the Cajon Pass drop.
Alley, Mini Alley, and my older sister drove out to Fontana to resupply me with goodies, extreme cold weather gear, and my War- on- Christmas gift, a Kindle!!!!
I decided to lease a truck right out training and it took a few months to get on track. I am so pissed at my company, but even though I've completed my basic commitment with them I won't jump ship until after the holiday rush.
At least now I can keep in touch better with my new toy. It was really hard to go through the election not being able to access DU after smashing my former not so smart phone.
Who or what ever pissed off SalmonChantentedEvening stop it! I just got back the ability to access the Sunday Lolz threads..

Sounds like you've been busy. Truck driving? So sorry to hear of your sister's passing. Hope this apparently new path is working out with you...I've since moved to the west coast with my s.o...living in Simi Valley. We have passed through Manhatten Beach just a couple of weeks ago. Maybe we could have a meet up sometime?
