I didn't have a tree this year.

The new cat is already a terror without adding a tree and all the trimmings to the mix.

We've already had one emergency surgery this year because the kitten eats everything she can get ahold of, a Christmas tree just didn't seem like a good idea.

3. I remember passing by an apartment on the way to the post office...

in the window was a little Christmas village with mirrors for ponds, tiny skaters and shoppers, and fluffy fiberfill for snow. When I walked by the next week, buildings were toppled, tiny people were tipped over, the "snow" was in disarray and there was a handwritten sign amongst the wreckage-- "Cat-astrophe".
