Hay Rick's SPLC link, above, notes that there were multiple groups, and J.T and his boys were among them. His wiki page provides more info (including how J.T came to a bad end), but here's one snippet:

At the time of his death Ready was under investigation by the FBI, who were looking into a potential domestic terrorism situation involving immigrants found shot to death in the desert.
