Game shows are easy cash. Show up. Read the teleprompter. Crack a pre-written joke or two.

When it was running Whose Line Is It Anyway? was a great respite from the usual network banality. I still watch it on reruns when possible.

first as a huge booster of the LA Galaxy and now as part-owner of the Seattle Sounders, pretty much clears him of any douchebaggery in my mind.

is one of the top ten best half hours of American sitcom ever.

But yeah, I think TPIR is just easy cash. I don't begrudge him making his money but I wish he'd do something funny that I have a chance of seeing.

Loved it!

How funny. I just saw "The Perks of being a Wallflower" last night, which also featured the Rocky Horror Picture show.

Haven't seen Perks... but if RHPS is part of it then it's OK by me.

The Drew Carey show was great - there are also several episodes that feature a bar band and Joe Walsh (the cool singer/guitar player, not the idiot legislator) is a big part of it. He's not only musically talented, he's funny too!

and works a regular schedule that takes far fewer hours than a sitcom. The prior MCs did it for years. It's a lucrative, fun, easy thing to do for a living.

And nothing says he can't still do some acting on the side, if he gets an offer.

I guess you could say the price was right for him. (yuk yuk)

I don't think he's that funny, so I assume he's just made a lot of good choices, buttered up the right people, and been damn lucky at certain moments to be able to make a living as an entertainer. A lot of incredibly funny people try but will never be one percent as successful as he's been.
