(12,132 posts)I intend to do just that. The best part is I finally get to treat my friend to a show - he's done so much for me in the past with regards to going to concerts so it'll be nice to get him into one for once.

(51,122 posts)Eric Woolfson and Alan Parsons went through some nasty legal issues before Woolfson died.
Thus the name alteration.

(12,132 posts)This isn't some kind of Alanless cover band is it? lol
Although When I first heard they were coming I looked into tickets and they started at almost 50 dollars so that would have to be a helluvva cover band....

(51,122 posts)Eric and Alan were the core of the band and wrote all of the music together. Eric was the lead singer on some of their songs, but the vast majority of the time he would sing as a 'key' for the many, many singers they used to replace his vocals.
The Alan Parsons Project had many lead singers, which was their signature. That and Amazing producing.
I was just talking about the unfortunate split and renaming for legal reasons.
Again, I'm sure it will be an excellent show.

(46,736 posts)It's good to see someone actually win something. Against my better judgment, I recently registered for a service just for a chance to win an IPAD.
I have never won anything since I was twelve years old. I was in Catholic school and the prize was a puzzle of a white cat. I so wanted it. I was up against the popular girl in the class and it was down to turning our backs to the blackboard as the teacher wrote a number on the board. We had to guess the number.
Well, I heard the number six being written on the blackboard. It was so clear, it was like actually seeing it. The popular girl guessed first, and I "guessed" second and I won the puzzle box. All my peers told me I cheated. Being a good Catholic, I felt guilty because I thought that maybe I had.
Still, it was a great prize. Loved it.

(12,132 posts)Hearing the number drawn is straight up legal. Congrats on then and I hope you win something again in the future.

(12,132 posts)They played everything I wanted and more. He has a terrific band with him. After the show he came out and signed stuff for everyone. He signed my friend's copy of I Robot and he signed my wife's and my tickets.
Here's some crappy phone cam pics...they gave us fantastic seats, 7 rows from the stage.
