I'll never forget the mockery Conservative Prime Minister John Major used to get, justifiably, for his standard retort: "I refeh my right honorable friend to the awnswer I gave a maw-ment ago..."

(2,888 posts)I imagine it's what a session of the US House or Senate would have looked like, in terms of debate, discussion, and oration, in the early to mid 19th Century. Of course, as we are not a parliamentary govt style of the Westminster System, PM's Question time is not feasible.
