That's right, Zeus finally opened his eyes! They aren't really workin' yet, though. Kinda of a glassy, 'the hell am I seeing?' look to them. The second picture is him snuggling with me, trying to nurse the towel. Nursing me proved unrewarding.

If you appreciated this cuteness, please consider helping me win a prize by using your iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch/Android device to help me out! Download the free game Guardian Cross and use my invitation/referral code, UA70790. Just takes a minute. Pretty please? Here's a link: http://tinyurl.com/ag6apzz

(12,272 posts)Would he drink from a bottle? Can you tell us about the game and what the deal is, I am wondering why the push?

(4,267 posts)His mother developed a health issue a couple of weeks after delivering, so she can't nurse them. The entire litter's being bottle fed! Fortunately, their human mom's inching closer to the point where she can begin working them onto solid food. If all goes as scheduled, he comes home with us April 10, by which time he'll be transitioning into solids.
As for the game, the link has more details than I could list in one post. The only reason for the push is because I like it, and I'd like to win the in-game prizes from the recruitment drive.

(12,272 posts)The game is free, so why do they want more people to download it? I did go to the link, it actually looks like a good game. So glad your pup is doing well, he is adorable.

(4,267 posts)You do get friend points for having friends in the game, which you can use to buy potions/tickets/etc, so there's that.
The only micro-transaction system they have is for tokens to get a slightly better chance at good cards, but you can still get those cards without it. No other advantage.
So, I guess I'd say Square-Enix just wants more players (I think the game is still not all that old) and they're rewarding people who bring their friends in on it.

(12,272 posts)Like I said, it looks like an interesting game. I understand now that the game does make money by selling in-app coins, so that explains why they want more players. I am now confident that I am not opening myself up to spam by using your code to sign-up Now if I can avoid my tendency to become addicted to online games, I'm good.
I have never noticed a place to enter an invitation code when installing an app; is there a special procedure?
I have been playing the game for a long while now, and I haven't received so much as a single email from them, much less spam. It's run by Square-Enix, a huge and reputable game developer. Even in-game, you aren't spammed to buy coins. All they get you is tickets with a slightly higher chance for better cards.
My memory is hazy, but I recall that I put in my friend's invitation code during the account setup process for Guardian Cross.

(12,272 posts)I didn't see a place to use your code though. If you know how to do it once in the game let me know. And thanks for all the hand-holding, I am just overwhelmed with email and things, I am hesitant to sign-up for anymore.
I'm a little puzzled as to why you didn't see a place for an invitation or referral code while creating your account. I'll have to do some looking around.
In the meantime, I hope you have fun with the game.
PS What did you choose for an account name? I will add you as a friend.
EDIT: From what I've read, on the first registration screen where you pick your desired nickname, that's where you have a chance to enter the invitation/referral code. Once you complete the tutorial, we both get the rewards.
I used your code when I started my first game.
I made myself private but I think I read that friends can still see me.

(4,267 posts)I was only able to find an Ignis, so if you're Ignis' (with the apostrophe) then I may not be able to see you for friending. I am Kuroyama.
I'm not sure of when the benefits for your inputting the code show. I had read that it was after the tutorial, or after you reach level 3. Anyway, hope you have some fun!

(12,272 posts)I am Ignis' with the apostrophe. I will get to it later though, but you should be able to see me by tomorrow.
