The Seasons of Westeros.

Does it bother anyone else that in order to have irregular winters and summers in Westeros the earth would have to be orbiting the sun in some astronomically inelegant and disordered way?

They just benefit from a jet stream that periodically gets interrupted for years at a time.

It's the fire god that has me worried.

That all the gods are to some extent "real" and "false" and involved and aloof is one of my favorite subtleties of the series.
