from home a lot. I found a gorgeous one on Amazon. With a place to put files and a separate arm to put a cup of coffee on (that would not wet the laptop table if it spills). But they don't deliver that item to Canada unfortunately.

Some cities have these (Canadian version is Supperworks, IIRC). It's basically Once a Week/Month Cooking where someone else does 90% of the prep work and all of the shopping.

I went to Amazon.ca (Amazon Canada) to see what they had that would ship to Canada but there's nothing really similar. Still, it's an idea; I just don't know where else once can buy a memory foam chair pad at a reasonable price.

Yes, rearranging the house would be in order. Oh, maybe some yard work to!!!

ADD) A thoughtful gift is all well and good, but when a person starts to reach a certain age they do not like to be reminded HOW old they are getting. Many have physical things that remind them of it all the time as it is. Something to think of is something to put a spring in her step.

Maybe someone can do all the housecleaning and laundry, then take the kids for a day or two or three.

Let mom relax and do whatever the hell she wants. Not having to cook, clean, do laundry, wait on anyone. Fill up the fridge, and give her money so she can order in dinner every night.

Relaxation sounds like just the ticket.
