.... were the forays MiddleFingerMomBIL and I would take into NYC (he worked
in Manhattan).

We'd almost always have lunch in Chinatown (looking for a restaurant with
mostly Asian diners -- we always assumed mostly locals). We'd have an
enormous meal (which was fine with MiddleFingerMomSis as she would be
the beneficiary of all the doggy bags we'd bring home).

We would try to leave enough room, and were mostly successful at this,
though we'd often have to lumber rather than walk across the street to
Little Italy for a dessert of cannolis.

I kinda wish we had taken more of a world gastronomic tour when we did
this -- but that combination (one from Column A and two from Column B)
was awfully hard to resist.
