Stuck in downtown Portland for a day. Any suggestions?

I thought my bus ticket was for 11am. Note to self: don't speed read.

Meanwhile, I just finished up a wonderful time at downtown Portland (Oregon) "open air market." That's what Pacificanos call flea markets. I saw a two man production of Macbeth and had some Vietnamese cuisine marginally less authentic that what I'd get in Houston. But all road food is good food.

We went to the Faux Museum on 2nd Street yesterday. What other things can I do in Portland until tonight? I mean besides catch up on my Fresno essays.

Touristing minds want to know.

via the forest trail takes you past the Arboretum and Pittock Mansion. Cumberland trail puts you out near my old house, then down the hill to The Rose Sector and some busy nightlife on the streets of NW and downtown again.

I can barely see the screen. That said, after a week of gray skies in Seattle, I'll take the mostly blue skies of Oregon with a smile, no matter how hard I gotta squint at the screen just now.

I was there a few weeks ago with some family. Of course we got the maple/bacon thing, and some other more unusual offerings. We got a selection of 2 different donuts each, and then broke them in pieces and shared them. One of us asked the girl behind the counter to give 2 of HER favorites; we got a blueberry and something else.

They were all great, but I remember wondering why the blueberry would be anyone's favorite...until I tasted it.

I ain't giving up on Portland, however. I'm certain that pickpocket's gonna get overcome by regrets in the next few minutes and track me down. Ha.
