He lives in Stockholm and has said that in the area he lives in there are shootings all the time. Apparently there are plenty of strip clubs as well.

I visited Sweden 12 years ago for about two weeks, but I was on the other side of the country north of Gothenburg. My mom lived there for 2 1/2 years in a very small town. Personally I didn't find the people to be that friendly. It is a very beautiful country though.

I've never been to Sweden, but my experience with Scandinavians in general is that they aren't all that friendly compared to other cultures. Perhaps the colder temperatures tends to make people less social. However, I've never gotten the sense that they are less content than other cultures, and would be more inclined to believe the reverse is true. They seem to be hard working and know how to enjoy life.

He is a lawyer and an older guy who works hard. When it comes to wine and soccer though he sounds like he enjoys himself.

I think bad neighbors tended to get eaten in bad times, just like bad huskies got eaten in Siberia.

That's not "happy." It just means fewer bad huskies and fewer bad neighbors.

(There's a lot of Scandinavian and a few huskies in my family...)
