I was released from active duty at the Oakland Army Terminal upon my return from RVN; I was 20 years old. Was in the Inactive Reserves for 4 more years before I got the official discharge.

I was partying on the weekends at the Satellite Lounge...I'm sure you know the place. (many of my friends parents were stationed at McQuire AFB)

Yeah, I flew into there a couple of times.
I mustered out 42 years ago.
Was in 'inactive reserves' for I can't remember how long.
Got my DD Form whatever it is in the mail years later.
Complete surprise.
I'm 72 and I think I'm finally a civilian.
